SPIDER @ 1st ICC

SPIDER @ 1st ICC

The 1st International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) took place in Athens, from 14 to 17 of June 2022. This first edition of the event brought together more than 4.000 young talents, coming from 64 countries from regions of Europe, North America, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

After two days of intensive and relentless competition between the teams to master this year’s cybersecurity challenges, Team Europe was the team who managed to solve most challenges, so became the winner of the ICC 2022. The complete rankings of the seven regional teams can be viewed here.

SPIDER project was demonstrated to the attendees of the event with demonstrations from our colleagues from UPRC and UBITECH project partners, with the presence of the project’s P.O. Mr. Georgios Kaiafas. There was a stand with promotional material (flyer, brochure) and also a live demo of the SPIDER Cyber Arena (including all 4 Modalities), available for those event attendees who wanted to actively participate. The majority of SPIDER stand visitors selected to play with Mini Games for Cyber security awareness, including our P.O. The audience of the open day included both students from schools and cyber security professionals.
